I’ve been using Agile planning and management techniques for over 15 years to lead corporate teams and take complex, global or enterprise-wide projects from idea to reality.

Several years ago, I started applying the same common-sense tactics to my personal life goals and passion projects.

This one life hack has not only revolutionized the way I think of goal-setting, it has made accomplishing my goals more likely and less stressful as long as I stick to the practices.

What You get / How It Works:

  1. Week 1: Get Clarity.

    • You’ll start by completing the ‘Who Am I’ Self-Clarity program (a pre-requisite)

  2. Week 2: Your Intro Session (2 hours):

    • Once that’s complete, we will have a 1:1 session together. I call this an ‘intensive’ session, because our conversation will go deep into the results of your self-clarity assessments, and reveal your true life vision, including where your current situation may be out of synch. I will assign some ‘homework’ for you to do before our next session

  3. Week 3: Your Life Value Map (75 mins)

    • In this 1:1 session, I will introduce you to the concept of the Life Value Map (i.e., your life vision). We will work together to begin putting together your personalized Life Value Map. This is an exercise in possibility thinking and limitless dreaming… aka, we’re going to have some fun!

  4. Week 4: Your Next 100 Days Plan (75 mins):

    • We will review your prioritized Life Value Map and begin crafting your ‘next 100 days’ plan. The ‘next 100 days plan’ is the key difference between traditional goal setting and agile life planning. Instead of setting huge goals with year-long or longer horizons, you will take those huge goals 100 days at a time. This allows you to see your progress more clearly, adjust to the inevitable and the unexpected changes of life.

  5. Bi-Weekly Check-Ins (6 X 45 minutes ):

    • For the remainder of the program, we will have a 1:1 session every 2 weeks to review your progress and work on any blocks you may be having. This is where we get down to the dirty details of what’s needed and what’s in the way of getting to your goals. We collaborate on solutions and next steps together, so you have a better sense of how to keep moving ahead with your life vision and core values as your driving force.
